Irene Yavchunovsky a member of the Union of Israeli Russian-speakng writers, was born in the Crimea, lives in Haifa, Israel, graduated from Tavrida National University and The University of Liverpool, England.
Irene is the author of ten books of poems and translations and books for children; she translated poetry and prose of other Israeli authors into English and Hebrew. She is a prize-winner of numerous international poetry competitions and a jury member of David's Violin International Poetry Festival. In 2018 she won a David Samoilov's Prize for the best book of the year.
