Don’t be afraid.
Far far away in the North Pole a Little Polar Bear lived. There was nothing special in it as it was the natural habitat of all the polar bears. The land of eternal winter, it was always covered with snow. Bears had lots of things to do. They could slide down the hills or swim or make a snowman.
The Little Bear enjoyed all but swimming. To be honest, it was because he was afraid of swimming.
«I am a bear, am I not?» he used to say. «Swimming is for fish but I am not going to do that.»
The Little Bear stayed away from water. Even to wash him his mother had to bring some water in her paws.
Once mother bear told him «It’s high time you stopped being afraid of water!»
«I am not afraid of water! The thing is that I do not want to swim.» The Little Bear protested. As time passed, however, the fear grew stronger.
